3 months ago – I am holding on to a rickety bannister barely connected to the wall, making my way up what feels like an eternal flight of steps.  The top reveals a room that appears never-ending, especially given the lack of the light inside the building.  If it weren’t for the sun peering in through the dusty windows and the flashlight in my hand, I would be consumed by darkness.  I stumble along blindly, tripping with practically every step I take.  I realize that the room is nothing but boxes upon boxes upon furniture upon boxes; piled ceiling high as far back as my light allows me to see.
