Aliquippa Council of Men and Fathers, ACMF

The Aliquippa Council of Men and Fathers (ACMF) was established in 2009 by the Franklin Center of Beaver County as a vehicle through which to address the consequent effects of father-absence and lack of positive male visibility in the City of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Increased substance-abuse, crime and violence among youth and young adults, poor academic performance and a disregard for the value of an education, a disproportionate number of single female-headed households, and high rate of incarceration among residents are evidence of the devastation that this pervasive issue has had on the community.
