Each year, the last Wednesday of January is designated for a National Point in Time Count of the homeless. This year, on January 25th, Beaver County will once again participate in this project.
As part of the project, the Franklin Center provides participants with a homeless kit of items to make life a little easier for homeless individuals. Below are ideas of items that would be helpful for those kits.
You can help by donating a few items for the boxes
Donations of the following will be helpful:
Folding travel toothbrushes
Crackers (individually wrapped) Combs and small hair brushes
Tampons (let’s not forget the needs of females)
Cheese or peanut butter crackers
Dry drink packets
Containers of applesauce and /or pudding
Vienna sausages with pull off lids
Plastic forks and spoons
(new items of course, not used)
Your donations of items need to be delivered to the Franklin Center of Beaver County, Inc. by no later than Monday, January 23, 2017. Please bring them to 524 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa PA 15001.
