The Franklin Center of Beaver County has a full month of activities planned to celebrate Black History Month.

Please take a moment to review all of events.  Please join us for one, or many!

Freedom March

The prelude to the main event will be a symbolic march across the New Brighton/Beaver Falls  bridge beginning at the Beaver Falls entrance to the bridge at 9 A.M. then joining the main event at Townsend Park with the New Brighton folks at the 9:30 hour. Coffee and hot chocolate will be provided by Hallowed Grounds, New Brighton. At 10 A.M. the New Brighton police will escort the walkers down 3rd Avenue ‘til we reach the Historic Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church at 1120 6th Avenue of New Brighton. Rev. Tawan Bailey, pastor of the Historic Wayman A.M.E. Church, will deliver an inspiring message of freedom and peace to the participants followed by refreshments in the fellowship hall thanks to the church family.
